Last week was a fantastic week even though I am BURNED! Got the chances to learn and play in my first ever cricket match everyday of last week. We even played under the hot sun in the afternoon! I still do not fully understand the rules of cricket actually. Still have to learn about how to give score and etc. as I am still confuse about it :) But basically what I learned from the game is that each team will send two batsmen on the field. One is batting and both of them will run to the opposite wicket and the number of runs they score is based on how many times they can safely reach the opposite wicket. At the same time, members of the opposite team will be the bowlers and fielders. Everyone will get the chance to bowl.
One important fact to know is you must protect the wicket or the stumps. If the bowler hits the wicket, you'll be out. I still not good enough in bowling as well as batting. I hardly got the chances to bowl straightly to the stump and hit the ball when I became the batter. But I did try to protect the stump :P There's a lot more of info and things that I learned last week. FOCUS. Is the extremely vital in the game. You have to be very focus in order for you to bowl the ball straightly to the stump and hit the ball to protect the stump if you are the batter.
Overall, although I am not a person who is not really into sports, I did enjoyed playing cricket! It was a good beginning of cricket experience. Luckily, I got team mates who are really supportive. Proud to be myself and really respect those who fully participate the course from Monday until all the matches finished on Friday. Thank you and well done guys!
p/s: am still searching for effective whitening lotion to get rid of the burned skin :(
